I have this app on my iphone and ipad. I find this useful, especially if it's late at night and I can't play my violin, I just open this app to train my ears. and yes it's the sound of piano, but i learned a lot. During Christmas I don't have violin lessons so during this holiday I can use my valuable time to train my ears, do more etudes exercises, play pieces that need to be polished.
